Even though this elevation is for a relatively short time, it can still prove dangerous, especially for someone with an already elevated pressure.

Most persons who practice isometric exercises use it in conjunction with some other form of exercise to double the effectiveness of the workout. Isometrics is best combined with any form of cardiovascular exercise, like jogging, to give a complete workout. It can be easily incorporated into any workout to add different dimensions to the routine.

Isometric exercises are simple and are performed in a stationary position. What is even more impressive about isometric exercises is that it can be done during tasks you normally without distracting from the original task. You can do these exercises while sitting at your desk at work or even while watching television.
